The New Nationalists: the Western Trump
“Trump promised that America would never become socialist, Marxist, or communist… and then had the federal government take ownership shares in U.S. Steel, MP Materials USA Rare Earth, Intel, Trilogy Metals, Lithium Americas, Vulcan Elements, ReElement Technologies, Westinghouse, xLight, and Nvidia.
Nations that hold real metal, refined product, and processing capacity will dictate terms in the next phase of global competition—whether in trade negotiations, technology races, or potential conflict. The new paradigm is physical-first: actual metal in vaults, refined ores in stockpiles, processed critical minerals in secure facilities. Rare earths, lithium, cobalt, copper, gallium, germanium, tungsten—the backbone of modern weapons, electric vehicles, renewables, and electronics—are subject to the same physical-reality test.”
I’m telling you, it doesn’t work—you cannot index tribal nationalism with commerce. You index it with what it is: that is, a nation. This is not understood by the new nationalists who do not understand biology, and who thus conflate nation and commerce—for example, in the hunt to curb immigration.
What is not understood by these new economico-nationalists is that if you do not manifest a renewal of vitality within the majority ethnic group, by stimulating it, then that vitality comes from the outside. What is happening, therefore, in the West is internal impoverishment, because no internal vitality is being built, and moreover, the vitality that comes from outside is forbidden.
The result is a double-bind: stagnation from within, blocked replenishment from without. The “New Nationalist” / Economico-Nationalist Paradigm (The Western Trump model) is a materialist ideology that ignore the primordial reality : vitality.
“Western Trump” model is treating the symptoms (offshored industry, supply chain vulnerability) with material tools, while ignoring and even exacerbating the disease (civilizational vitality). It conflates the instrument (the economy) with the actor (the nation-as-biological-community). This nationalist right has become too libertarian on economics and too focused on a sterile, GDP-based version of nationalism.
